No spoilers but Don't Get Got was a perfect purchase to play in the background of PAX Unplugged. We're already on our second game and I can't wait to introduce this to a larger group. Basically, this game is played in the background of other activities and has players trying to get other players to do stuff for them without them realizing it. If you like social games, I'd highly recommend it. #dontgetgot #boardgaming #boardgames #boardgame #tabletopgames #tabletopgaming #tabletopgame #boardgamegeek #bgg #bggcommunity #philly #boardgameconvention #partygames
Played a lot of different things today (many unpictured). The two I keep coming back to are Team3, a three-player dexterity co-op with players being some form of blind, deaf, or mute and Bus, the Splotter route-building game of stopping time (or not). I keep coming back to Bus. I think the price is outrageously high (but understand the small publisher purpose of this cost) and hated the five player game we played. Being last meant your options were extremely limited. I would love to try this again as a three player game but don't know when this will happen due to the cost. #bus #boardgaming #boardgames #boardgame #tabletopgames #tabletopgaming #tabletopgame #boardgamegeek #bgg #bggcommunity #philly #boardgameconvention #paxunplugged #paxunplugged2019 #team3

With PAX Unplugged just around the corner, I thought it would be a good idea to look at the games that we're most interested in playing. Check my profile for a full rundown and the why for each. Today I look at the Joker tiles for Azul. The Joker tiles basically act as wild colors for completing rows. There's a bit more nuance but the rules are short and a link to them can be found in my review. These wild tiles impact end of the game scoring as they allow players the opportunity to complete rows and colors quicker but players will not receive their typical bonuses because they used a wild tile. I think the tiles are just okay. They don't make Azul better or worse but they also don't really add any meaningful strategy to the game. In fact, I'm of the opinion that it takes away strategy as now it's a tad bit easier to complete items (with the understanding that you won't score as many points). I would pass on them if you don't already own them.
